Pontoon Floats
Pontoon Float Composition: At Richardson Docks we manufacture pontoon floats specifically for your needs. Our pontoon floats come in two heights, 12″ and 22″. We can make them up to 28 feet long.
The 12″ high floats are normally used in cottage and home applications where stability, ease of use and aesthetics are very important. Once your dock or raft is all decked out with the side bumpers and accessories, it will be a beautiful addition to your property.
The 22″ pontoon floats are normally used where larger boats have to be docked. They are also a standard in commercial applications. They can also be used as part of your design for barges or other floating building and structures.
Pontoon Float Composition
The outer shell of the pontoon floats are made from a heavy duty polyethylene material that is specifically designed to resist ice pressures when left in the water. Encased in the shell is a high density foam with an industry leading 3% by volume absorption rate.
What makes building a dock out of pontoon floats so unique, is the realization that they are actually part of the superstructure of the platform. This makes for a very strong and secure dock, raft or barge.
Since our pontoon floats are actual pontoons, they can be employed in any project that requires mobility. From boat houses to simple floating platforms and docks, they bring a host of versatility.
If you calculate the flotation requirements of your project, we are confident our pontoon floats will be an economical solution you will appreciate. More economical, more durable and more versatile. That is why Richardson Docks and Floats are “Simply the Best”.
