Flotation Data Sheet
When it comes to using a flotation medium it is always important to be comparing “apples to apples”. The most significant aspect of using foam is the water absorption percentage.
Simply put, this is the amount of water a float absorbs as a percentage if its total volume exposed to water. In other words it is not a percentage of the entire float, just what is exposed to the water. So the less flotation you have the more of your float will be under water. You can see more flotation is better than less. Always look at the flotation data sheet for water absorption percentages.
The Flotation Data sheet says “when making a purchasing decision always calculate the volume of the flotation medium. More volume equals more flotation equals less water absorption”.
